Blog .1, The Graveyard of Grammar

Man, it took me like 15 minutes to figure out how to write a blog. Well since you are reading this, yes i figured it out. I'm so uncool. I'm not part of the blog scene. Sort of like handshakes, handshakes have evolved so much that i can't shakes someone's hand without there being a risk of humililation. All the twist and turns and thumb wrestles in a handshake just annoys me. Why can't we just keep things simple. One guy shook my hand and he gave me a hug in one motion i wasn't ready for that.

I find it wierd how when two couples greet each the girlfriend can kiss the other girl and the other guy on the cheek. But the boyfriend can kiss the other girl but give the guy a handshake. I mean i'm the jealous type if your going to kiss my girlfriend you better kiss me to or i am going to suspect something.

I like bundles so i'm just going to type everything in one blog to save time. And i dont have the essay grammar skills. So i like to do things in lists.

1. i might get a paid internship at Curious Pictures starting mid august. They are starting a new project so they looking to form a crew. They liked my drawings but i'll doubt get anything creative.

The producer at Curious really opened my eyes. They want to hirer you, they want new blood, probably because we are cheaper. But your portfolio has to make it obvious where you are going to fit. They liked my drawings but they didn't know where to put me. Probably because on this project everything is being sent overseas.

The producer sent my drawings to the director. He probably might have a better eye than her and he might say these suck. they did call me back and said the show hasn't been green lit but we have talked about scheduling.

I am worried that the schedule might conflict with my orientation thing i do at school. I wantthat extra 300 bucks and free food. I have to take from SVA cause SVA has taken so much from me.

I try not to tell to many people about it because then i have to tell alot of people how i didn't get it. But its just an internship. Not really a big deal. I'll start feeling better about it when i get paid. Not because i'm greedy for money but when a studio makes an effort to pay you, i think that means alot. Because so many interns are not getting paid.

My intern at Stretch has gotten better to bad it took this long to get this far. But i been doing some animation for John dilworth to be used as reference for the animators in korea for his 3d film. I really dont know if this is true or not cause it seems like an important job but he lets an intern do it. He said he was impressed with my walk cycle for his character but he had some crits. Which is great, it felt like school again but more serious. One time he saw me surfing the net, and he brought me into his office. And really lectured me in a dad/boss. he was like if your not going to do this animation then we can find someone else, which remind me of the episode on seinfeld when kramer's boss had a hard time firing him because he doesn't even work there.

but its really great to be under such an accomplished man. I hope i have the self motivation to churn out animation so he can trash it. And yes he uses the word trash. And his crits are like beckerman's crits. He wont tell you the answer he will tell you what you should do to figure it out. Which is somewhat frustrating.
